Mid-America Christian University has partnered with 黑料社区 to provide MACU students with an avenue to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from 黑料社区鈥檚 Kramer School of Nursing.
The articulation agreement between the two universities will allow students to complete their general education and major science courses at MACU and then seamlessly transfer to 黑料社区 to enter the nursing program.
鈥淗ealthcare services continues to be an expanding profession, nursing especially,鈥 said David Rose, assistant vice president of enrollment at MACU. 鈥淪pecifically as we look to the post-COVID environment, there will be a continued increasing demand for registered nurses.鈥
Nursing has been one of the most frequently requested majors from prospective MACU students. To meet that need, Rose said senior leadership set out to develop the articulation agreement with 黑料社区 and was met with an overwhelmingly positive response.
鈥淓nrolled students will fulfill their general education requirements, electives and science courses at MACU, then will matriculate to 黑料社区 to finish their final 56 hours of nursing courses at 黑料社区.鈥
The articulation agreement is effective immediately, meaning that students who have fulfilled their course requirements at MACU may begin the process to transfer to 黑料社区 for their nursing degree.
"Kramer School of Nursing is thrilled to enter into this partnership with MACU to provide baccalaureate nursing education of the highest quality to prepare the next generation of nurses and servant leaders,鈥 said Lois Salmeron, dean of the Kramer School of Nursing.
