Women in Leadership conference aims for values and vision

A facial expression expert, an innovator of plant-based plastic alternatives, and an anti-drug and justice reform advocate will headline this year’s Women in Leadership conference.

The day-long, 14th annual conference will be held March 26 at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, hosted by ’s Meinders School of Business. The theme is “Values + Vision.”

“This year’s conference will explore how aligning personal values with professional vision fuels impactful leadership and lasting change,” said Melissa Cory, a co-founder and director of the conference. “Leadership is more than strategy—it’s about the principles that guide our decisions, the resilience that sustains us and the vision that drives transformation.”

Presentations will include:

  • “Make Change Happen: Leverage Behavioral Science to Align Values to Action” by psychotherapist and behavioral science professor Kristen Lee
  • “Victim to Victor: Transforming Lives Through Values” by Rhonda Bear, founder of She Brews Coffee Roasters and a transitional housing program advocate
  • “Standing Firm: When Values and Vision Align in Business” by Sharina Perry, founder and inventor of Utopia Plastix
  • “Vision on Wheels: How Values Drive Innovation in Healthcare” by dermatologist Dr. Karen Nern
  • “Silent Signals: Building Trust Through Authentic Communication” by facial expressions expert Annie Särnblad

A panel discussion on “The Courage of Convictions: Leading with Values” will feature women in executive roles sharing their thoughts on building successful careers.

Annette White-Klososky, founder and senior consultant of Future Point of View, will serve as master of ceremonies.
